System 32: Pacifica
Details for System 32
About the System:System 32 compliments the rest of the CARLA systems that help bring coverage
to the Northern California coast. Coastal areas can get cut off very easily
by natural disasters and this system is equipped with ~400 Ah's of battery
back-up power. This site also acts as a hop point for the link up to CARLA
33 located above the Mendocino coastal town of Gualala. Between Systems 3,
33, 32, 10 & 29, CARLA is able to cover a wide area of the coastal region.
Tidbits:
This system used to be Roger's, WA6AFT(SK) and was then taken over by Mike
WB6JKV who let CARLA rebuild & integrate it into the network. Roger also
donated the VHF CARLA 35 system that used to be on Vollmer Peak.
