It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our friends and supporters, Alex KR6G
from Quincy.
Alex was our very first contact on System 27 even before we announced the commissioning of the system
or left the site the first day! He found us by chance and dialed up the PL and gave us a warm welcome
as he did with everyone he met and/or came in contact with on the radio. Alex made many friends over
the years with his kind, gracious and helpful personality. He also helped many a young Ham into the
hobby including several from his family.
We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
He was the “Voice of Quincy†to us and will be truly missed on the airwaves as well as in person.
