This weekend two different RRFT's rolled to CARLA 9 (Modesto) and CARLA 13 (Shasta Lake) to make
repairs and preparations for winter.
CARLA 9's intermittent tx/rx issue seems to have been repaired for now. An intermittent Molex
connector is the suspect. we are monitoring and checking the system regularly since the recent
visit.
CARLA 13's visit was a much longer one (20 hours portal to portal) and involved replacing and
increasing the entire battery plant, installing a new LVD and replacing a blown battery charger
with
a newer 30A version. There was a lot of other work done on site and the tower for the site
owner.
CARLA 13 has been switched over to the RF back-up full time since the T1 channel we were on has
been
decommissioned.
