This Saturday October 24, there may be traffic on
the network from participating Nevada ARES
groups for a statewide SET. Please keep
conversations brief with plenty of pauses in
between and
yield to any traffic trying to conduct their test.
There is no set start/end time as this is a
specific part of the exercise.
CARLA 25 will have multiple RRFT’s (Rapid Response
Field Teams) converging on the site Saturday
to finish the final phase of the reinstallation and
upgrade of the entire system post destruction
from the CARR Fire in late 2018. Amongst other
things, we hope to get the local PL operating,
replace a disabled NB TX link radio and replace the
rest of the temp coax runs that were put in
place last year. The system will be off the air for
a portion of the day but traffic is still
being re-routed through CARLA 20 & 13 for the rest
of the region.
